We return once again to the hallowed ground of Goodwood Circuit, bringing that unique Retro Rides vibe. Themed display areas, thousands of pre-2000 cars, track action, laid back atmosphere, good people and good times.

THE DISPLAYS

Cars don't come more wild than those in the world of drag racing. Machines built with one purpose, get down the quarter mile as quickly as possible. We are joined by cars from across a number of different drag racing classes, most of them still even look like cars, some are even road registered. Extreme, awesome and if we can convince the powers that be they'll be in action on the famous Goodwood start/finish straight. So wish us luck with negotiations.

We're pleased to welcome back the Classic Sports Car Club with a range of Modsport & Special Saloon cars again. Some of the most incredible cars racing today, they come with a deep history and exciting new builds. We've had them along to Weekender a few times over the years and they are always a highlight to the day. Expect to see them in action on track again as well as being accessible in the paddocks.

Adding in traditional style hot rods to our mix of greatness this year are our friends at Detonators Car Club. A first rate collection of traditional style rods will be on display, go and learn about the roots of what we're doing with cars. There is a direct line from what these cars are to the drag racing line up, and then through to all the modified cars on site.

The cars will also be on parade on the track, and through the site over the weekend, giving you the chance to see them how they really should be seen.

Our friends at Lay N Play make a welcome return with a great collection of lowriders, we've given them even more room this year to fill and play. Expect awesome bouncing cars and great vibes from the UK Lowriding scene.

We'll also be doing a site cruise with them on Saturday and Sunday.

Toyota Celebration with Corolla Brotherhood

We're joined this year by Corolla Brotherhood bringing a celebration of all things Toyota together. From race car to road car, crazy to cool, Toyota can turn their hand at most things, whether modified or stock. This line up will cover the love for the Toyota brand, with particular love paid to that perennial favourite the AE86

Kaido Racers

Wild styled cars hailing from Japan have long been a part of Retro Rides DNA, our own Toyota GX71 being one part of that. With more Kaido Racer builds emerging in the UK we decided now is the time to celebrate. From the extreme Fukuoka and Chibaragi styles, to the slightly more restrained Kyusha cars as well as fun single use one event builds, we'll be showcasing a cross section of what this style is all about.

A show parade both days gives you a chance to see and hear what these cars are all about. They also go hand in hand with our Gentsuki scooter display, so expect some fun photo opportunities.

Gentsuki Gentlemans Club

One of the most fun and accessible scenes in the UK right now, these Japanese scooters inspired by the Gentsuki scene are a whole lot of fun. Most commonly based on the Honda Tact, they then have a suitable livery applied and most importantly lowered as far as possible. Each one is individual to its owner, extra marks for details that match your theme.

Another of the mobile displays over the weekend, although at a fairly sedate pace, you'll hear them coming ... bzzzzzzzzzzzzz

We'd be nothing without the skills to build cars, whether we're working on our own things, or taking them to specialists, metalwork and fabrication skills are what keeps our cars alive in the long run. We've partnered with the Heritage Skills Academy to provide and area where you can go and learn about what they do, find out about apprenticeships and one off courses they run.

In a world of generative AI, these hard, manual skills are more important than ever.

Small Scale

Our Small Scale area returns again for 2025. To be found in the Race Control building at the far end of the Pit Lane Grandstand. We'll have RC Drifting, vintage RC displays, RC Truck and Offroad demos. We're planning to expand the area outside this year too, so more chances to enjoy this hobby and get involved. If you have vintage RC stuff and want to be a part of this, drop us an email (link at the bottom of the page).

Is your car shorter than 3.5m(ish) in length? Then we've got space for you, lots of space, because your car is small, as are all the other cars around you. It is going to be great. Get involved, tell your friends to get involved. We're looking for Minis, Fiat 500s, pre-2000 Kei cars, Microcars, A Mk1 Renault Twingo, you know, small cars.

A celebration of Gallic style with a whole paddock filled with all that French automotive excellence has to offer. From the stylish, wafty saloons to peak hot hatch goodness, France has produced it all.

Whether it is an iconic hot hatch, or a shockingly obscure car that only five French specialists know about, we want to see them. Let me throw some names out there, Citroën, Peugeot, Matra, Bonnet, Simca, Talbot, Renault, Alpine, Bugatti, Ligier, Venturi, come on, let's get some French wonderfulness in to Goodwood. Note: we're looking for Pre-2000 cars.

One of our annual highlights is the new builds in our Deadline display. They don't have be premiering at the event, but we do like that.

At the heart of Retro Rides Weekender is track action. We've always been about cars in motion, from the first event we ran nearly twenty years ago, to today. We have cars in action both days, with full track sessions on the Saturday, and Auto Solo on the Sunday.

One of our very favourite things is to provide space for clubs to gather at the show. Our Sunday Club display brings together a huge range of clubs and cars from across the spectrum of retro cars. Club space starts from as few as three cars.

So hit the link and grab your group.

Club Space Booking

Weekender is about that huge range of cars, and that is where you come in. If you arrive in a pre-2000 car you'll be in the show area, on the Saturday we spread cars across the site, on Sunday we use the track for Retro Parking, until that is full and we spread back through the site.

No need to book, just make sure you've got your ticket when you arrive and you are good to go.

Please be aware it is possible that the site can run out of room, so please be understanding if that does happen. We're trying our best here.

As ever Retro Rides Weekender will bring you a range of fantastic food and drink. Every caterer is carefully picked to make sure we have a range of high quality options. If you are spending the day with us then me make sure you can eat great food too.

We'll be bringing together a selection of trade and retail this year, from car parts to clothes, toys to turbos, our trade and retail areas have delights to tempt your wallet.

Our camping has fully sold out this year, those lucky ones that got tickets can expect the usual laid back atmosphere, a Saturday night tat auction and great food available in the camp site.
