Get ready for an epic weekend at the Retro Rides Gathering, back at the iconic Mallory Park Circuit! Our event is jam-packed with pre-2000 retro cars, classics, customs, restomods, hot rods, race cars, drift cars, show cars, and more.
With a variety of club stands, track action, invited guest cars, retro parking, trade stands, prizes, and good food, you won't want to miss out on the fun. And with our signature laid-back atmosphere, it's the perfect place to bring your friends and family for a weekend of unforgettable memories.
Even more improvements coming for 2024, and we can't wait to show you what we've been working on. So, buckle up for an awesome time!
We love few things more than Modsports and Special Saloons, so much so that we invited a whole paddock of them for our Weekender event. One of the absolute stars of that paddock was Richard Sadd and this absolutely lunatic Metro '6R4'.
Running March F2 running gear mated to a Cosworth BDH engine, this is a phenomenal car with an enthusiastic owner. So go and check it out in the paddock up close and in action on the track across the day.
We're super pleased to have Mike Wallhead bring his outrageous Jaguar powered MG-Beast to Gathering.
It had been one of those cars that has been on our list since we first saw it, but we've never been able to make it happen between us, this is the year though.
Last year it won the Hot Wheels Legends Tour, but it isn't just for show, the car is in constant development and with a 4 second-ish 0-60 it is sure to be awesome on our track too.
You can read some more about this awesome car here
Well this is about as wild as builds get. This VW Caddy pickup is now rear engined and rear wheel drive. Oh and it is powered by a McLaren 650S V8 motor.
It is still a work in progress, but we couldn't resist the chance to have it at Mallory Park for RR Gathering. All being well it'll have arches in place and be running by the time the show comes around.
Here we have Dez Stringers 1928 Model A rod, a build that has been documented in detail on the Retro Rides forum. A real ground up, grassroots build, which made its debut at Gathering last year. When he enquired about hitting the track with it, we knew it had to be a guest car. Let's see if the police cars end up chasing him because of noise violations.
You can follow the build on Instagram here
Look we know it is technically too new, but look at it! This is Phil Morrison's of Driftworks Murcielago with full Reiter GT1 kit and stance to match. Built up from a very tired and abused car (before all the cool kids were doing that), this has been a long project.
We look forward to seeing it and hearing it out on track, go check it out in the paddock it is a properly special car. We wouldn't let just any Murcielago in to our show!
We love hot rods, we love customs, we love the whole culture. We've got display areas at Mallory Park, so let's put all this together and get a great hot rod and custom display together.
Even better, this year we don't clash with the NSRA SuperNats for the first time in a while. Now is the time!
After the success of last year's "Dustbowl" we're bringing it back for 2024. The area was resurfaced last year and doesn't live up to its name any more, so we're calling it various the Overlanding, Offroad or 4x4 area.
Applications are now closed for this area.
We are thrilled to have Jonny Smith and The Late Brake Show crew taking over one of our display areas again. Last year they bought out a fantastic selection of vehicles, and we're expecting more of the same from them this year.
Applications are now closed for this area
Best behaviour now ladies and gents, the cops are in town. We're delighted to be adding a display of American law enforcement vehicles to the show, we'll have them in the paddock area to check out and out on track doing parades before and after lunch. Expect some sirens and lights, they make a great spectacle and are sure to delight.
We welcome all kinds of clubs to Retro Rides Gathering, from three friends that want to park together, through to massive thirty or fourty car club displays. All we ask is that they be pre-2000. Club booking for this year is now closed.
There is no need to apply for retro parking space, arrive with a pre-2000 car and a ticket and you are all good to go.
Track Applications are now OPEN. We are looking for pre-2000 cars to hit the Mallory Park Circuit. The full details of the track time, including noise limits and format can be found in our Forum thread: https://forum.retro-rides.org/thread/227337/rrg24-track-time-information-thread
Applications are now Closed for this area
